Art
The Academy art department has a growing reputation for offering a diverse creative experience for learners and aims to encourage an understanding of art in its broadest terms. Our goal is to familiarise students with a range of materials, techniques and experiences as well as to introduce students to the rich and varied aspects of the contextual history of art practice.
Learners in Year 7 and 8 are linked to Creative arts (Art, Drama and Music) embarking on 6 projects across 2 years. Learners rotate through the CA subjects in 4 weekly cycles (16 lessons).
