BTEC in Business Studies
The Business department has been growing steadily in recent years due to the excellent results obtained by the department and the exciting links that have been created with local businesses and training providers. We are also leading on the New Business, Administration and Finance Diploma which is being introduced in September 2009.
The department prides itself on the support that the pupils get in preparing for the workplace and developing transferable skills which employers are looking for from the employees of tomorrow. Pupils sometimes get the opportunity to go on extended work placements as part of the course and receive training by local training providers, including Riverside Training to supplement the learning that takes place in the school.
At present Business is only available as an option at Key Stage 4 & 5
