What is Connexions?
Connexions is a service offering advice, information and guidance to all 13 - 19 year olds (up to 25 year olds with additional needs). Connexions works with many different services to help you make plans for your future and achieve your goals.
Connexions Personal Advisers
Connexions Personal Advisers (P.A.) work in schools, colleges, work-based learning and youth organisations as well as in Connexions Centres, and they are there to provide you with the help and support you need - when you need it.
In School, Connexions Personal Adviser starts working with students from year 9 upwards. Your P.A. can see you on a one to one basis or in a group session.
They provide:
- Up to date and relevant information
- Support and practical help
- Support and bring services together if you have a specific problem you would like help with
- Help if you change your mind
Your P.A's job is to listen to your ideas and problems, help you make informed decisions and plans for the next step of your life and to keep in contact with you in the future to make sure that things are going well.
The Connexions Personal Advisers attached to The Hereford Academy are based in the Infozone.

Connexions Direct
A national 'phone and web-based service offers quick and easy access to expert advice. There is a 24 hour helpline and a Personal Adviser is available to speak to between 8am and 2am
