Curriculum
The Government has recently started encouraging secondary schools nationwide to create a 'world-class' curriculum that engages young minds with a view to developing the skills needed for life in the 21st century.
At the academy, we are committed to this new approach to our students education and through our nationally recognised innovative curriculum's in Years 7 and 8, we encourage them through learning to develop the skills to manage information, situations, themselves, other people and society in general.
We are currently in the process of developing this new approach for Year 9 which will be rolled out shortly.
Years 10 and 11 have a wealth of choices available to them either through a mainly academic route or a more specialist one which can be tailored to their particular learning needs. Both routes lead to nationally recognised qualifications, which in turn lead to employment and/or continued study.
