Curriculum Area vision and general information about the CA e.g. successes and strengths

• Within the curriculum area we work hard to promote the subject, aiming to raise achievement, attainment and enjoyment.
• We believe the key to successful teaching and learning is the fostering of positive relationships between students, staff and parents/carers.
• It is our aim to instil in our students an enjoyment and appreciation of literature
  through our own enthusiasm and expertise for the subject.
• We aim to provide all students with the opportunities to achieve their potential by setting each individual appropriate and challenging targets.
• We believe in inclusion and aim to ensure that regardless of ability, gender or race, all students have the same curriculum entitlement and deserve our total commitment to their success through differentiated learning.
• The Curriculum Area is committed to the teaching of a variety of English Literature texts at each Key Stage.
