For students to really enjoy the challenge of this subject.   For every student to make continual progress; frequently reflecting on their own strengths and weaknesses in order to make improvements.

KS3 provision summary e.g. topics covered, links to SOW/overviews and homework

Maths is a Linear Subject so all topics, depending on ability, are covered from Year 7. Students are assessed using a Mastery Framework as well as with frequent Real, Past GCSE Examination Papers. These are analysed so that students can recognise strengths and work on weaknesses.

KS4 provision summary e.g. topics covered, links to SOW/overviews and homework

Students follow a SoW which is designed to ready them for the new 1-9 Maths Curriculum. There is an emphasis on Using and Applying Maths and Problem Solving as this now accounts for up to 35% of the Exam Questions. We have online access to Justmaths and Mathswatch, packages that help students to work on weaknesses and improve.

KS5 provision if relevant

Students have a dedicated KS5 teacher. There is a KS5 version of Justmaths to help students that are re-sitting their Maths GCSE.
