NVQ Level 1 Beauty Therapy

The course will provide an introduction to the Beauty Therapy industry and includes:

• Health and Safety
• Reception Duties
• Maintaining the Beauty Therapy work area
• Assisting with Facials
• Assisting with Nail Treatments
• Setting up trollies to help the level 2 Beauty Therapist

Job opportunities for NVQ 1 Beauty Therapy:

• Receptionist in a Beauty Salon
• Beauty Consultant in a department store

NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy

The NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy will cover:

• Full Manicure and Full Pedicure with Exfoliant, Hot Oil, Mask, Paraffin Wax and Mitts
• Full Facial
• Eyebrow Shaping, Eyelash & Eyebrow Tinting,
• Make-Up
• Depilatory Waxing of Eyebrows, Upper Lip, Chin, Face, Under Arms, Bikini and Legs

Job opportunities with NVQ 1, 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy:

• Beauty Therapist in a Salon, Health Farm, Cruise Ship
• Setting up your own business in Beauty Therapy
• Working as a theatrical and make-up artist on stage and screen once a theatrical and media make-up qualification has been achieved
