Acceptable Clothing

Post 16 Lanyards MUST be worn at all times. If you forget it, you will be expected to go home and collect it. If this is not possible, you must report to the Post 16 office immediately you come into college before you attend your lesson.

At The Hereford Academy Post 16, you must follow the dress code set out below and displayed throughout Post 16.      

ACCEPTABLE

Black leggings

 Low cut tops

Dark jeans

 Flip flops

Chinos

Short skirts

Navy/dark trousers

Sports shorts or denim shorts

Smart trainers

 Football shirts

T-shirt
(no offensive pictures/writing

 Offensive/rude t-shirts

Hooded tops
(hoods must not be worn inside)

 High heeled shoes

Tidy joggers

 

Smart shorts -tailored

 

                          

You are all responsible for making sure that these guidelines are followed. Anyone having to be reminded more than once about inappropriate clothing will be issued with a written warning (strike)


Hair

Students’ hair should be well-kept, clean, moderate in style and of a natural colour.


Jewellery and piercings

Our prime concern is health and safety; therefore, jewellery must be discreet and minimal. Youcannot wear any facial jewellery other than earrings. Please DO NOT arrange to have any piercings during term time.


Shoes

Shoes must be practical and sensible. For Health and Safety reasons, stilettos and flip-flops will not be allowed.


Tattoos

Please be aware that you may be asked to keep any tattoos covered as many employers do not allow tattoos to be on display. If you are considering a tattoo, please discuss with Post 16 staff before going ahead.


Any final guidance on the Post 16 dress code is at the discretion of the Assistant Principal.
