Careers Evening

Thank you for attending

 

Careers Evening took place on Thursday 7th November.  This was a combined evening with the Year 11 Parents Evening and worked very well putting both events together.

The evening was a great success and gave a fabulous opportunity for students to find out more about career pathways through education, training and employment.

Over 140 students attended, along with parents/carers.  A total of 24 companies were invited and able to offer advice and guidance to those students that were interested in what they were offering.

We had some really positive feedback from those that attended:

GCSE certificates for 2019 leavers are now ready to collect from reception between the hours of 9am and 3pm. If you wish to have them posted home, we are now able to do this from Monday 2nd December. Please ensure we have the correct address as no responsibility will be taken for any lost certificates. Please request in writing.
 

If you wish for a nominated person to collect on your behalf then we must have prior notice in writing from yourself with the name of the person collecting on your behalf.  The nominated person must bring ID and sign on collection of certificates. All students are very welcome.

The Academy Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl visited the St Martin’s Cenotaph this morning to lay a Poppy Wreath and pay their respects to fallen war heroes, on behalf of everyone at The Hereford Academy.

 

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
