Due to weather issues we have a partial closure today. We are closed to Y8 and Y9 but open for all other year groups. Y8 and Y9 should access their work online in the usual way. We will be open as normal tomorrow.

• 1st FPL Champion!

  Congratulations to Mr Pearce, who has won THA’s first Fantasy Premier League. FPL is the official free-to-play fantasy football game of the English Premier League, and 29 teams entered the THA league, which remained competitive until the very last week.

   

  Mr Wilkinson finished in second place, whilst Mr Taylor finished in third. Headon H & Dan S completed the top 5 rankings. Congrats to Cain D, Aston W and Joe S, who also finished in the Top 10 rankings.

   

  Mr Pearce said following his victory “I am delighted to be The Academy's first ever FPL champion, and I love that this school gets involved with fun activities such as these, that students and staff can both get involved in."

   

  Mr Pearce accepted the trophy last week from Mr Taylor, who oversaw the league, but said that he doesn’t want the prize and would rather it be won by a student next year. Mr Taylor has already confirmed plans for another THA FPL league for next season, with plans for awards such as ‘Manager of the Month’ and more prizes to be won.
